Meet Luke
I love being outside. You name it- hike, bike, swim, climb, run, sports of all kinds. I love to travel and experience the world around us. I have made it a goal to visit and hike in every U.S. National park. Since 2018, I have knocked off 13/ 62 parks. I have started towards the Adirondack high peaks club (the 46ers) and in June of 2020 I started section-hiking the 2,184 miles of the Appalachian Trail; a journey that will likely take many years. I frequently explore Kentucky’s Red River Gorge. I am a 2x Tough Mudder and 3x Spartan Race competitor. Training for events that require both strength and endurance allows me to alter and change my training modalities frequently, while still keeping my goals for events and travel in mind. I live to move and believe staying fit is a lifestyle. I regularly practice yoga, run, and lift weights. I like to try new things. I am my own worst critic. I love to compete.
I am a graduate of The University of Louisville where I studied Exercise Science. I spent 3+ years working in the field of physical therapy. I understand the importance of utilizing a team approach when it comes to wellness- know your limits and learn from those around you. My personal training career started in the summer of 2019. Since then, I have become certified as a personal trainer (CPT) and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
